This is one of our favourite interior painting colour schemes. It’s a beautiful neutral palette which is extremely versatile and flexible. This is a great bar to unwind at the end of the day and enjoy your favourite hockey games! It features awesome and comfortable custom built stools. We have cleaned our pantry many many times over the years, but it never stays organized for long. It’s like the closets of the house, we just throw things in there for a “quick clean up” and come back to it later. We have decided to stop putting it off and today is the day! Let’s find a more permanent solution and have a clean and organized pantry!

1. A clean pantry makes cooking a lot easier, so we’ll start by preparing designated areas and grouping foods together. We want the cereals to be together with the jams and syrups, then group our coffee, tea and snacks together, canned goods with cooking oils, condiments and grains in another section and so on. We’re taking it a step further by labeling the shelves. This will help us stay organized and reminds us where items should go.

Classy Country House Bathroom

This bathroom features elegant accents and colours with a subtle farmhouse touch. Starting with the beautiful gold mirrors that bring such a delicate and classy feel to the room. The gold swing arm lamps on either side of the mirrors add a lovely farmhouse touch. The custom built vanity features a stunning white marble countertop and a dark wood vanity with lots of storage. The wide drawers provide lots of room to store all bathroom essentials. Last but definitely not least, the free standing bathtub is such a beautiful part of the bathroom and provides a spa like feel.

Bold details and clean lines are a few elements to easily distinguish a modern farmhouse. A simple rule to keep in mind when putting together this space is the 60-30-10 rule.

Starting with the 60%, which is typically a warm white base colour that goes with everything! Picking a light colour provides flexibility to a space and it allows you to change things up whenever you feel like it. The 30% part is a combination of earth tones, such as tan, grey, green or any other neutral colour of your choice. This brings out a natural feel to the space and adds that “country” atmosphere to the room. Lastly, the 10% of the rule is the bold and dark tones. As an example, we find it essential to add black metal accents. The dark industrial elements complete the modern farmhouse style. Black metal can be extremely elegant if balanced properly in a space.

The Perfect Picture:

Imagine a lovely modern farmhouse kitchen, with beautiful light walls, maybe a shiplap accent wall, hardwood floors, a beautiful neutral kitchen with wood beams embracing the room. Incorporate the 60-30-10 rule, by adding a few darker toned decor pieces. Maybe incorporate two wood floating shelves against the neutral backsplash. It’s a simple way to add earthy tones to the kitchen while functional. It can also be a great space to feature your favourite ceramics.
